The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with help from SDAIA, keeps proving it is a leader in using data and smart machines to make life better. With strong support from Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Saudi Arabia has earned top spots in many important rankings. These include being the best in the world for its smart machine plans, open government data, medals won by young people at global smart machine competitions, and a top award for managing smart systems.
In the Middle East, Saudi Arabia is number one in online government services. Around the world, it is third in creating rules for smart machines, fourth in online services, seventh in getting people involved online, and 14th in a big list of countries leading in smart technology.

SDAIA also won first place in an innovation contest in 2024, beating 15 government groups. It earned six big certifications for its strong work in keeping information safe, managing smart systems, and offering excellent cloud services. SDAIA was also honored for helping the Arabic language grow and be used more widely.
One of its best projects is "ALLaM," a smart Arabic language tool praised as one of the world’s best. It was trained using over 385 billion Arabic words, including 55 billion new ones last year. This tool helps improve safety, supports the Arabic language, and builds local skills. SDAIA also made a health project called "EYENAI," which helps find and treat eye problems caused by diabetes. Over 846 patients were helped last year.
SDAIA’s Nafath system made government services easier for everyone to use, saving over 2 billion Saudi riyals. This system helped save time, as people didn’t need to remember over 530 different passwords or take long trips to service centers. It also helped the environment by cutting down on vehicle trips.
SDAIA made rules and guides to ensure data is used fairly and safely. These include rules for how people should use smart tools and how to protect personal information. These efforts follow global best practices.
To teach people new skills, SDAIA started the Generative AI Academy with NVIDIA. This academy trains people to use smart tools and builds skills needed for future jobs. It also worked with schools and global tech companies to teach more people about these tools.
SDAIA made life easier with tools like rousing, which offers over 350 services in one app. It saves people time and effort by combining services from over 250 government offices. The National Data Bank also helps save money and makes sharing information between government offices faster and cheaper. The Ehsan platform makes giving donations easier and more trustworthy.
To improve lives, SDAIA set up special centers for health, energy, education, and other areas. During Hajj, SDAIA worked with others to make services faster and easier for pilgrims.
At a big meeting on smart tools, SDAIA signed an agreement with UNESCO to show Saudi Arabia is serious about leading in fair and safe use of smart tools. They also started the Riyadh Charter to bring Islamic countries together in this field and made a platform for experts to share ideas.
UNESCO said Saudi Arabia is doing great in preparing for a future with smart tools. SDAIA will keep working to make Saudi Arabia a leader in using data and smart tools to improve lives and build a strong future in 2025.
