Abu Dhabi – ADNOC Technical Academy (ATA) celebrated a milestone with the graduation of 403 UAE National technicians trained in artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics, marking a key step in building a highly skilled national workforce for the energy sector.
Over a two-year vocational program, graduates specialized in electrical maintenance, instrumentation, mechanical maintenance, and processing operations. The curriculum blended hands-on training with emerging technologies, preparing students for high-skilled roles across ADNOC’s operations.
ATA’s approach now includes advanced AI-powered systems such as Neuron 5, which has helped reduce unplanned shutdowns by 50%. Trainees also gained experience with drones, robotics, and remotely operated vehicles for site inspections, infrastructure monitoring, and gas leak detection, aligning technical expertise with real-world energy operations.
Since its establishment in 1978, ATA has graduated over 6,000 UAE Nationals, contributing significantly to the country’s industrial and energy workforce. Recent collaborations with global robotics companies are set to enhance training programs further, ensuring graduates remain at the forefront of automation and AI technologies in the energy industry.
With this new wave of graduates, ADNOC strengthens its ambition to become the most AI-native energy company, positioning UAE talent at the center of a rapidly evolving, technology-driven energy landscape.
