It was a huge gathering where more than 1,400 companies, 600 important investors, and over 500 speakers from more than 100 countries came together. This was one of the strongest connections between countries in Europe for technology and innovation.

Many countries took part, including India, Italy, Morocco, South Korea, and 35 European countries. The UAE was a big part of the event, showing how it is becoming a world leader in technology in many fields like government services and public projects.

The UAE’s IT market is growing fast and is expected to reach $3.76 billion by 2025, according to new data from Statista. At the event, 65 companies from the UAE took part, which is the biggest group the UAE has ever sent to a tech event in Europe.

UAE Ministry of Economy Pavilion: Working on Climate, Healthcare, and Smart Cities

At the UAE Ministry of Economy pavilion, many UAE tech companies showed their work focused on solving big world problems. For example:

  • Zeroe helps manage carbon emissions to fight climate change.

  • Hikmah Labs uses artificial intelligence (AI) to improve different industries.

  • IngenioData created a system for indoor navigation and tracking using new technology.

  • Responsive Drip Irrigation made the world’s first irrigation system that lets plants control how much water they get by themselves.

Her Excellency Alia Al Mazrouei, UAE Minister of State for Entrepreneurship, spoke at the opening. She said, “Germany is now the UAE’s second biggest trading partner in the EU. Berlin is a global center for new ideas. Together, we are building a new economic connection based on innovation and shared goals.”

Two special guests from the UAE space program were also there: Hazza Al Mansoori, the first Emirati astronaut, and Nora Al Matrooshi, the first female Emirati astronaut. Hazza shared how AI is used in space, like with a robot called Simon that helps make space stations more independent.

Dubai Pavilion: Showing New Smart City Ideas

The Dubai Pavilion, organized by Digital Dubai, showed how Dubai is using AI and smart technology to improve public services. Twelve important government and private groups took part, including Dubai Police, Dubai Civil Defense, Dubai Customs, and the Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre.

Some cool innovations included:

  • Dubai Dashboard: A platform that shows important city data all in one place.

  • Dubai Monitor, DubaiNow, Smart Employee: Tools that make city services easier.

  • UAE PASS: A national digital ID that uses face recognition for safe identity checks.

  • Dubai Police’s smart patrol car called Ghaith.

  • Salama: An AI platform that helps with residency services like visa renewals quickly and easily.

His Excellency Younus Al Nasser, CEO of Digital Dubai, said, “AI should not just be a tool but a solution that is used wisely and responsibly. We focus on moving fast, working together, and making sure AI helps people in real ways.”

More UAE Companies and Ideas

Beyond the pavilions, many UAE companies and startups showed their innovations. For example, Tecom Investments shared Dubai’s tech success stories. The Roads and Transport Authority showed plans for future city transport and infrastructure. Other companies like CAFU, which offers mobile fuel delivery, and 6Bees, which uses AI to improve work productivity, also took part.

UAE Leaders Sharing Ideas

During the event, many UAE leaders spoke about topics like building AI-focused countries, real tech needs, and how startups can grow. Some speakers included Abdalla Almehrzi from the UAE Cybersecurity Council, Alia Al Mur from Dubai Future Foundation, and Marwan Al Zarouni from Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism.

Important Meetings to Build Partnerships

Private meetings happened between the UAE group and European and German leaders. They talked about working together to boost innovation, startups, and investments. Her Excellency Alia Al Mazrouei met with leaders like Kai Wegner, the Mayor of Berlin, and ministers from the Czech Republic and Kazakhstan.

To keep this cooperation going, it was announced that next year, the UAE’s Investopia event will hold a special European edition at GITEX EUROPE x Ai Everything 2026 in Berlin. Investopia is a platform started in 2021 by Dubai’s ruler, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and the UAE Minister of Economy, His Excellency Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri. It helps grow the economy by encouraging global talks, partnerships, and investments.
