Dubai, United Arab Emirates: With just three months to go until GITEX Global 2024—the largest tech and startup event in the world—organizers have announced an exciting lineup of industry programs, cybersecurity specialists, and keynote speakers from renowned global brands. What’s New for 2024?

In line with Dubai’s goal to cultivate 30 startup unicorns by 2030, GITEX Global 2024 is introducing GITEX Editions. This initiative aims to create impactful gatherings focused on strategy, facilitating growth and governance for high-potential companies. Among the early confirmed speakers are eight fast-growing startups from various countries, including three supported by the European Innovation Council (EIC).

Highlighted Speakers Include:

  • AI Sector: Fabrizio del Maffeo, Co-Founder and CEO of Axelera AI (Netherlands) will discuss developing Gen AI infrastructure. The company, backed by Samsung and the EIC, aims to be the "European NVIDIA" and is valued at $500 million.

  • Synthetic Biotech: Dr. Alexander Zhavoronkov, Founder and CEO of InSilico Medicine (Hong Kong), will share insights on AI-driven drug discovery and synthetic biology. His company has achieved the fastest IPO ever and is valued at $1.5 billion.

  • Sustainability Biotech: Dr. Mazen Rizk, Founder and CEO of Infinite Roots (Germany), will discuss sustainable protein alternatives. His company is the largest mycelium-biotech investment in the EU.

  • Quantum Deeptech: Dr. Joseph Fitzsimons, Founder and CEO of Horizon Quantum Computing (Singapore), will represent Singapore’s largest quantum startup, backed by prominent investors including Sequoia.

  • Semiconductor Deeptech: Dr. Sunghyun Park, Founder and CEO of Rebellions (South Korea), will speak on AI semiconductor innovations as his company aims to become Korea’s first unicorn in this sector.

  • Auto Tech: Svilen Rangelov, Co-Founder and CEO of Dronamics (UK), will present on the world's first cargo drone airline, changing the e-commerce landscape.

  • Hypercar Technology: Emilio Scervo, CTO of Bugatti-Rimac (Croatia), will highlight innovations in hypercars from this fast-growing Croatian unicorn.

  • Supercomputing: Philippe Notton, Founder and CEO of SiPearl (France), will discuss high-performance semiconductors for AI applications.

Cybersecurity Conference Highlights

GITEX Global 2024 will prominently feature cybersecurity, showcasing real-life stories, AI-driven live hacks, and dynamic debates among Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs). Notable participants include:

  • Chenxi Wang: Managing General Partner at Rain Capital (US), recognized by Fortune as a top international cyber investor. She will discuss the rising global demand for advanced security solutions.

  • Ekaterina Serban: Vice President of Privacy and Information Security at Bosch (Germany), will engage in discussions about strategies for cybersecurity adoption at the corporate board level.

New Industry Experts to Take the Stage

For the first time, Michael Spranger, President of Sony AI Inc., will share updates on the latest projects at Sony's R&D organization. Additionally, Chris Duffey, Futurist & Head of GenStudio at Adobe (USA), will present insights from his co-authored book on AI. Isabell Gradert, VP of Central Research & Technology at Airbus (Germany), will also make her debut appearance at the event.
