The Professional Fighters League (PFL) has officially announced the third edition of PFL: Road to Dubai, which will bring an exciting night of MMA action to the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai on Saturday, 7 February 2026. This event continues the growing partnership between PFL, the Dubai Sports Council, and the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism, further strengthening Dubai’s position as a global home for major sporting events.
This upcoming fight card will be headlined by the undefeated PFL Lightweight World Champion Usman Nurmagomedov, who holds an impressive record of 20 wins with no losses and one no-contest. Usman will be making his first title defence against Alfie “The Axe Man” Davis, the winner of the 2025 PFL Lightweight World Tournament. Davis enters the fight with a record of 20-5-1, and MMA fans around the world are eagerly waiting for this matchup. More fights for the event will be revealed soon.
Fans who want early access to tickets can register for the pre-sale until 12:00 pm GST on Friday, 21 November. Those who register will receive a 72-hour window to purchase tickets before the general sale begins on Monday, 24 November at 12:00 pm GST. The PFL expects a huge crowd at the Coca-Cola Arena for what could be one of Dubai’s biggest MMA events.
Usman Nurmagomedov steps into this headliner fresh off two major victories against Ireland’s Paul Hughes, where he displayed world-class striking and wrestling across ten tough rounds. With guidance from his cousin, MMA legend Khabib Nurmagomedov, Usman has become one of the most feared fighters in the sport. He believes he is ready to show Alfie Davis the difference in skill and experience when they meet inside the cage for his third main event in Dubai.
On the other hand, Alfie Davis enters this challenge with strong momentum and intense determination. Despite being labeled the underdog throughout the 2025 tournament, Davis defeated the top favourites in all three of his fights, earning both the championship and the $500,000 prize. His victory over Gadzhi Rabadanov, a teammate of Usman, proved that he cannot be underestimated. Davis is known for his unpredictable karate-based style, delivering strikes from unexpected angles. His spinning elbow knockout over Clay Collard and his powerful axe-kick finishes have earned him great respect and the nickname “The Axe Man”.
PFL CEO John Martin expressed great excitement about the event, saying that Road to Dubai will be one of the most spectacular MMA nights the city has ever hosted. He said that Usman Nurmagomedov continues to impress as a dominant champion, while Alfie Davis always finds a way to upset the odds. Martin encouraged fans to secure their seats early, promising that this will be the biggest fight card PFL has brought to Dubai so far.
Eisa Sharif, Director of the Events Department at Dubai Sports Council, also highlighted the importance of events like this. He said the backing from the Dubai Sports Council proves how committed Dubai is to hosting world-class sports competitions. According to him, bringing top-level athletes to the city not only strengthens Dubai’s global sporting reputation but also inspires local communities by promoting the value of sports and healthy living.
As excitement builds toward February 2026, PFL: Road to Dubai is shaping up to be a night filled with world-class talent, international energy, and a thrilling title fight that MMA fans will not want to miss.
