Slap Fighting Championship Returns to Dubai with International Lineup at The Space. The Slap Fighting Championship is set to make a high-profile return to Dubai on Friday, 26 July, at The Space Events and Sports Venue in Dubai Investment Park. The event, scheduled to begin at 6:30 PM, will bring together 32 athletes from six countries for a series of 16 competitive bouts.
This marks the second time The Space will host the sport, following its historic introduction to the UAE last year. The venue, known for its focus on emerging sports formats and high-impact live entertainment, is quickly establishing itself as a regional hub for unconventional sporting spectacles.
The championship is presented by Eddie Hall, a former World’s Strongest Man and a recent entrant into the world of slap fighting. Hall’s growing involvement in combat sports has drawn international attention, adding further legitimacy and visibility to the event.
Slap fighting—a competitive discipline involving timed, regulated open-hand strikes delivered between two opponents—has seen a rapid rise in global interest. While controversial in some circles due to its intensity, the sport has cultivated a dedicated audience through its straightforward format, dramatic confrontations, and emphasis on endurance and mental composure.
According to the organizers, the July 26 event will feature fighters from a diverse range of backgrounds, each aiming to secure a place among the sport's emerging elite. The production is expected to emphasize athlete safety and regulatory oversight, aligning with broader efforts to professionalize slap fighting on the world stage.
Tickets are currently available via Virgin Megastore, with seating options ranging from general admission (AED 190) to platinum seating (AED 600) and VIP tables (AED 10,000). The event will also be livestreamed globally through the official Slap Fighting Championship YouTube channel.
The Space, which has hosted a variety of non-traditional sports events since its opening, continues to position itself as a forward-looking venue that challenges conventional expectations of sport and live entertainment in the Gulf.
