When PM Modi reaches Thailand, many Indian people living there will welcome him. He will meet the Prime Minister of Thailand, Paetongtarn Shinawatra, at the Government House. There, he will get a special welcome. Both leaders will talk about trade, culture, and how both countries can work together in the future.
On Friday, PM Modi will go to the 6th BIMSTEC Summit. This is a big meeting where leaders from Nepal, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Thailand, Sri Lanka, and Bhutan will join. They will talk about trade, security, transport, and technology. One of the most important things in this meeting will be an agreement on working together in sea trade and security. This will help countries to trade easily and keep their sea routes safe. A new plan for the future of BIMSTEC will also be shared.
Before leaving India, PM Modi said that the Northeast part of India is very important for BIMSTEC. This is because it is close to Southeast Asian countries and helps in making better connections.
During his time in Thailand, PM Modi will also meet the King of Thailand, Maha Vajiralongkorn (also called Rama X), and Queen Suthida. They will talk about the deep historical and cultural ties between India and Thailand. PM Modi will also visit Wat Pho, a famous temple in Thailand. This temple is known for its big sleeping Buddha statue. Long ago, it was Thailand’s first public education center.
After finishing his work in Thailand, PM Modi will travel to Sri Lanka. There, he will meet President Anura Kumara Dissanayake. They will talk about trade, important projects, and safety. India and Sri Lanka have been good friends for a long time, and this meeting will help make their bond even stronger. India has also helped Sri Lanka grow and stay stable. Both countries will now look for new ways to work together in fields like energy, tourism, and technology.
PM Modi believes that this visit will make India’s friendship with Thailand and Sri Lanka stronger. His meetings will open new doors for working together. This will not just help India, Thailand, and Sri Lanka but also make the whole South Asian and Southeast Asian region better. This visit shows that India is serious about making good relations with its neighbors and improving trade, security, and development.
