Pakistan Chasing 265 to Win New Zealand ODI – Third Match

In the third ODI match between New Zealand and Pakistan, New Zealand set a target of 265 runs to win. This was after they scored 264/8 in 42 overs. The match was shortened because of rain, which delayed the start by nearly two hours at Bay Oval.

Rhys Mariu, in just his second international match, scored 58 runs from 61 balls. He hit six fours and two sixes. His performance helped New Zealand put up a good score.

Captain Michael Bracewell also did well, scoring 59 runs from 40 balls. He hit six sixes before he was caught out on the last ball of the innings, bowled by Akif Javed.

Pakistan’s bowlers tried hard. Akif Javed took 4 wickets for 62 runs in 8 overs. Naseem Shah also bowled well, taking 2 wickets for 54 runs.

Pakistan now needs 265 runs to win the game. They have lost the first two ODIs in this series, and they also lost 4-1 in the T20 series. They will try their best to win the final match of the tour and get some pride back.
