Perth, Australia: Just hours before it was to kick off, Bryan Adams' sold-out concert was canceled in Perth, Australia. The reason for the cancellation is an unexpected problem: overflowing sewage. The major blockage was caused by a buildup of fat, grease, and rags in the pipes, which creates a serious risk for the toilets at the venue.
The Canadian rockstar was set to perform on Sunday night, but the event was called off when authorities determined that the sewage could back up into the arena’s facilities. The state water corporation, responsible for managing the issue, explained in a statement, “Our teams are working to clear a large blockage of fat, grease, and rags, which has already caused wastewater overflows at several properties.”

The blockage had not been removed by Monday and was removed only after the concert had been called off by the venue management, who described the decision to do so as "extremely tough," given that there was no assurance that the toilets would work with full capacity for the expected 16,000 spectators.
The officials also looked for other alternatives, like vacuum trucks, to handle the wastewater. However, they decided that the volume of water produced by the crowd was too much to be handled in the situation.
The cancellation disappointed the fans, but the authorities assured the public that it was necessary for health and safety reasons. "We completely understand people's frustration," the water authority stated.
The concert promoter, Frontier Touring, also expressed disappointment, describing the situation as "bitterly unfortunate." It clarified that this decision was beyond Bryan Adams' control and assured that all ticket holders would automatically receive a full refund.
