In the bustling city of San Luis Potosi, Mexico, tragedy struck as a glass balcony at the Rich Club shattered during a concert, leading to the loss of two lives and injuring over a dozen partygoers. The club, located approximately 480 kilometers northwest of Mexico City, was hosting a performance by Mexican artist Kevin Moreno when the horrifying incident occurred.
Among the victims of this unfortunate accident were 21-year-old Manuel Alejandro Infante Puente and 17-year-old Rodrigo Espinosa Alonso. The pair plunged approximately 40 feet from the shattered balcony onto the main square below the nightclub, resulting in their untimely deaths.
Disturbing footage of the incident quickly circulated on social media platforms, capturing the harrowing moment when the balcony collapsed, narrowly missing people standing below who managed to evade the falling debris.

In response to the tragic event, Jorge Hernandez, a representative of the town hall, addressed the circumstances surrounding the concert. He revealed that the nightclub had neither sought nor received approval to host the performance featuring Mr. Moreno. Hernandez emphasized, "The constant and uncontrolled presence of people attending this event caused one of the railings on the third floor of this building to give way under the pressure and lead to this tragedy which claimed the lives of two people, according to the information we have so far."
Furthermore, Hernandez stated that the accident resulted in injuries to 15 individuals, with some sustaining serious wounds. As authorities launch an investigation into the incident, the nightclub has been temporarily shut down pending further inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the balcony collapse and the safety protocols in place at the venue.
