Liverpool won 1-0 against Leicester City on Sunday. Trent Alexander-Arnold came from the bench and scored the only goal in the 76th minute. This win keeps Liverpool at the top with a 13-point lead. They only need one more win to become champions.

This would be their 20th league title, the same number as Manchester United. But for Leicester, the day was very sad. The team lost and now will go back to the lower league (Championship). They have been sent down 13 times now — more than any other club in England.
In another game, Chelsea beat Fulham 2-1. Fulham scored first with a goal from Alex Iwobi. But later, Tyrique George scored to make it 1-1. Then, Pedro Neto scored in the last minutes to give Chelsea the win.
Now Chelsea are in 5th place, which can help them get into the Champions League. Nottingham Forest, who play next, can still take that place if they win.
Chelsea, Manchester City, and Newcastle United are all close in points. This makes the top part of the table very exciting.
Wolves beat Manchester United 1-0 at Old Trafford. Pablo Sarabia scored with a beautiful free-kick. With this win, Wolves are now safe from going down. They have won five games in a row. Manchester United, on the other hand, are having a bad season. They have now lost 8 home games this season — the most since 1963.
Liverpool had many chances to score, but they missed a lot. Mohamed Salah hit the goal post two times. Later, the ball came to Alexander-Arnold who shot it into the net.
Coach Arne Slot said, “We keep going. The team is strong. They love playing football. Trent knew it was an important moment and he gave his best. That’s what top players do.”
If Arsenal lose to Crystal Palace on Wednesday, Liverpool will become champions. If not, they can win the title if they beat Tottenham on Sunday.
“We are thinking about the Tottenham game now. We will play at home and the fans will be loud. It’s going to be a great day,” said coach Slot. If Liverpool win the title, Slot will be the first Dutch coach to do it in England.
Liverpool now have 79 points. Arsenal are second with 66 points. Arsenal also won on Sunday, beating Ipswich Town 4-0.
Leandro Trossard scored two goals. Gabriel Martinelli and Ethan Nwaneri also scored. Ipswich had only 10 players after Leif Davis was sent off for a bad tackle on Bukayo Saka.
Ipswich are in 18th place with only 21 points. If they lose again or if West Ham win just one more game, Ipswich will go down to the lower league.
Chelsea made a strong comeback. Fulham were winning with Iwobi’s early goal. Then, Tyrique George scored his first-ever Premier League goal. After that, Neto hit a powerful shot to give Chelsea the win.
Manchester United had a good win in the Europa League last week. But in the Premier League, they are not doing well. They are now in 14th place.
United manager Ruben Amorim said, “Wolves had one chance and they scored. We had many chances but didn’t score. If you don’t score, you don’t win.”
