His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar, held a high-level meeting with Giorgia Meloni, Prime Minister of the Italian Republic, on Saturday at Lusail Palace. The discussions focused on key regional and international developments and underscored the importance of fostering stability in the Middle East.
Both leaders emphasized the urgent need to de-escalate regional tensions and highlighted political dialogue and diplomacy as the most effective tools for addressing the ongoing crises. They also explored measures to safeguard regional energy security and ensure the stability of international energy and supply chains.
The meeting provided an opportunity to review and enhance bilateral cooperation between Qatar and Italy. Both sides expressed a shared commitment to strengthening partnerships across multiple sectors, particularly in economy, trade, and energy, with the aim of promoting sustainable development and long-term collaboration.
The engagement reflects the countries’ dedication to constructive dialogue, regional stability, and mutually beneficial economic and energy partnerships.
