In the presence of His Excellency Mr. Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce, and His Excellency Mr. Ni Ruchi, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Keeta officially announced the commencement of its on-demand food delivery operations in Bahrain. The platform is supported by Meituan, a global technology leader specialising in digital services and smart logistics solutions.
The announcement took place during an official launch ceremony held in Manama, attended by senior government officials, representatives from key public and private sector entities, as well as members of the business and restaurant community. The event highlighted the vital role of collaboration between the public and private sectors in driving economic diversification, accelerating digital transformation, and fostering innovation across essential industries.
Keeta’s entry into the Bahraini market forms a key milestone in its broader regional expansion strategy, following successful launches in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, and Qatar. The company noted that this expansion reflects strong confidence in Bahrain’s attractive investment climate, advanced digital infrastructure, and progressive regulatory environment that supports technology-driven businesses.
The company stated that its launch in Bahrain aligns with Keeta’s vision to deliver fast, reliable, and transparent food delivery services that elevate the customer experience. At the same time, the platform aims to empower local restaurants through long-term strategic partnerships focused on operational optimisation, data-driven insights, and sustainable growth.
Keeta’s services are powered by advanced technological systems developed and supported by Meituan. These systems analyse multiple variables, including real-time traffic conditions, delivery distances, and order-specific characteristics, to enhance the accuracy of delivery time estimates and ensure consistent service performance. The platform also reinforces transparency and service quality through clear compensation mechanisms when delivery timelines are not met.
To celebrate its launch, Keeta introduced a range of introductory promotional offers for customers, including discounted meals and free delivery at selected partner restaurants. These offers are available without subscriptions or hidden fees, allowing users to experience the platform through a simple, accessible, and seamless service model.
Keeta further confirmed that it has made significant investments in establishing a comprehensive local operational framework in Bahrain. This includes building a robust network of trained delivery riders, implementing clearly defined service standards, and setting up a dedicated local support team supported by a 24/7 customer service centre. For restaurant partners, the company offers an integrated support model encompassing onboarding, daily operational assistance, performance optimisation, and continuous collaboration driven by data analytics.
At launch, the platform features a curated selection of well-known local eateries alongside regional and international food and beverage brands. This diverse offering reflects Bahrain’s rich and vibrant culinary landscape and reaffirms Keeta’s commitment to supporting the food and beverage sector while strengthening its contribution to the national economy.
