Iran May Strike Back After US Attacks Nuclear Sites

The United States joined Israel in a coordinated attack—dubbed Operation Midnight Hammer—against Iran’s main underground nuclear sites at Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan. Elite B‑2 stealth bombers dropped heavy “bunker-buster” bombs, and Tomahawk cruise missiles were launched from submarines

Scale of the strike:
Over 125 aircraft took part, deploying 14 heavy bombs and around 24 Tomahawk missiles 
U.S. Defense leaders described the operation as a “spectacular” success, saying it caused extremely severe damage and “obliterated” key nuclear functions Iran’s Strong Reaction

Government response:
Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi called the airstrikes a “heinous crime” and a blatant violation of sovereignty and international law, promising “everlasting consequences” Iran’s military officials confirmed that “all options are on the table” for retaliation 

Escalation on Israel–Iran front:
Iran launched missiles and drones at Israel shortly afterward, hitting cities including Tel Aviv, and causing civilian injuries . Israel then responded with further airstrikes, targeting Evin prison and military infrastructure in Tehran, and bombarding at least six Iranian airports
