New Delhi — The International Cricket Council (ICC) has finalized the complete fixture list and venues for the 2025 Women’s Cricket World Cup, scheduled to run from September 30 to November 2, 2025. India will co-host matches alongside Sri Lanka, with five venues confirmed: Bengaluru, Guwahati, Indore, Visakhapatnam, and Colombo.
The tournament will begin with a blockbuster match featuring the host nation, India, and Sri Lanka at Bengaluru’s M. Chinnaswamy Stadium on September 30 at 3:00 pm IST. India’s second group stage match—its most anticipated against arch-rival Pakistan—is scheduled at R. Premadasa Stadium, Colombo, on October 5 at 3:00 pm IST. This neutral-hosting arrangement is part of the ICC’s hybrid model for India-Pakistan clashes, implemented through 2027.
All eight participating teams—India, Pakistan, Australia, England, South Africa, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh—will contest a round-robin league, with the top four advancing to the semifinals. The first semi-final is set for October 29 in Guwahati or Colombo, while the second will take place October 30 in Bengaluru. The grand final will be held on November 2, either in Bengaluru or Colombo, depending on Pakistan’s qualification.
The full match schedule reveals a spread of flagship fixtures across India and Colombo, such as:
Australia vs New Zealand in Indore on October 1
Bangladesh vs Pakistan in Colombo on October 2
England vs South Africa in Bengaluru on October 3
Australia vs Sri Lanka in Colombo on October 4
India vs South Africa in Vizag on October 9
India vs Australia in Vizag on October 12
India vs England in Indore on October 19
The tournament revival marks a significant moment for women’s cricket in India, returning after a 12‑year hiatus, with Sri Lanka sharing hosting duties due to the ICC’s policy on India‑Pakistan matches. The hybrid hosting strategy enhances regional engagement and safeguards high-stakes fixtures from political complications .
