The festival showed the best Emirati dates and focused on the high quality of dates grown in the UAE and from other places. Farmers were encouraged to grow more top-quality dates, helping the environment and improving farming in the UAE.
Palm trees, which are a big part of Abu Dhabi’s history and culture, were also celebrated at the festival. The event aimed to make people feel closer to the UAE’s farming traditions.
The competitions included different types of dates like Al Ain Elite, Khalas, Fard, Dabbas, Bumaan, Shishi, and Zamli. The festival also had other fun activities about the date harvest season, honoring the hard work and history of date farming in the area.
