The festival will have seven main competitions for dates. Farmers can join in categories like Al Ain Elite, Khalas, Fard, Dabbas, Bumaan, Shishi, and Zamli. There are 70 prizes worth more than AED 1.7 million. The event will also have a date auction, date shops, a traditional market, and a heritage village.
Visitors can enjoy many activities like craftswomen’s displays, photo exhibitions, a kids’ corner, and folk art shows. These will share the beauty of Emirati culture.
The festival also focuses on the palm tree, an important part of the UAE’s traditions and farming. Dates help the country’s economy and fod osecurity. The event will create markets for Emirati dates and teach farmers about better farming methods.
This festival follows the vision of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, who wanted to protect the UAE’s culture and farming traditions. It supports farmers and helps people learn more about the country’s heritage and agriculture.
The Al Ain Dates Festival is a chance for families to enjoy, farmers to grow, and visitors to learn about Emirati traditions and the value of dates.
