His Excellency Sheikh Khalifa bin Tahnoon bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Court, visited the 22nd Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (ADIHEX 2025). The grand event is taking place at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) and will continue until 7 September 2025.

Exploring Tradition and Innovation

During his tour, Sheikh Khalifa carefully explored the exhibition stands. He viewed a wide variety of products connected to hunting, equestrian sports, and falconry. These displays combined the timeless traditions of the UAE with the latest modern technologies. On one side, visitors could see traditional falconry tools, horse saddles, and heritage artworks. This blend of past and present showed how ADIHEX has become more than just an exhibition—it is a bridge that connects culture with progress.

A Glowing Commendation

His Excellency praised the exhibition and its organisers for their excellent efforts. He noted that ADIHEX is not only about showcasing products but also about celebrating values. He admired how the event honours the UAE’s cultural roots while welcoming creativity and innovation.

He expressed gratitude to those who worked hard to make the exhibition a success, saying that it reflects Abu Dhabi’s commitment to holding events of world-class standards.

Strengthening Cultural Identity

Sheikh Khalifa highlighted how ADIHEX plays a key role in preserving and strengthening the cultural identity of the nation. Through falconry, equestrian heritage, and traditional arts, the event reminds citizens and residents of their deep-rooted history. At the same time, it introduces these traditions to international visitors, showing the beauty of Emirati culture to the wider world.

According to him, ADIHEX is more than just a commercial or sporting event—it is a cultural gathering that ties people together and encourages pride in heritage.

ADIHEX 2025: A Grand International Platform

This year marks the 22nd edition of ADIHEX, and it is the largest one since the exhibition began in 2003. More than 2,000 companies and brands from 68 countries are taking part. This makes it one of the most important cultural and trade events in the Middle East.

The exhibition is divided into 15 different sectors, covering falconry, equestrian sports, hunting gear, traditional arts, handicrafts, camping equipment, outdoor adventure tools, and environmental conservation. Each sector offers visitors a chance to experience both heritage and innovation side by side.

Tradition Meets Technology

One of the most exciting features of ADIHEX 2025 is how traditional practices are being supported by modern technology. For example, falconry—a practice that has been part of Emirati life for centuries—now uses advanced health monitoring devices and training tools to keep the birds safe and strong.

Equestrian sports, another deep-rooted tradition, have also embraced modern equipment and safety gear. Visitors could see everything from handmade saddles to the latest technology that supports horse care.

Camping and outdoor adventure displays showed how people today can enjoy nature with environmentally friendly tools, helping protect the desert and its wildlife.

A Vision of Heritage and Progress

Sheikh Khalifa explained that ADIHEX mirrors the vision of Abu Dhabi—where heritage and progress go hand in hand. By hosting this exhibition, the emirate is sending a clear message: cultural traditions are not old stories of the past, but living practices that continue to evolve.

He also noted that the event creates interactive spaces for families and young people. These spaces allow visitors to engage directly with Emirati customs, explore innovative technologies, and learn how heritage can inspire modern life.

Distinguished Company

Sheikh Khalifa’s visit to ADIHEX 2025 was attended by several senior officials and leaders. Among them were Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Zayed bin Saeed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of the Department of Culture and Tourism, Faris Khalaf Al Mazrouei, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority, Saif Saeed Ghobash, Secretary-General of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, and Humaid Matar Al Dhaheri, Group CEO of ADNEC.

Their presence reflected the importance of ADIHEX as a national event and a symbol of pride for the UAE.

A Global Gathering

With exhibitors and visitors from 68 nations, ADIHEX is truly a global platform. It is not only a place for buying and selling equipment but also a meeting point for cultural exchange. Visitors from around the world come to see how Emirati traditions such as falconry and horse riding are practiced, respected, and modernised.

The international participation also shows the global appeal of the UAE’s cultural heritage. It proves that while these traditions are deeply local, they also inspire and interest people far beyond the region.

Inspiring the Next Generation

Another highlight of the exhibition is its focus on the younger generation. Children and students are invited to explore the event, learn about heritage, and see how traditions remain alive today. Educational workshops, live shows, and interactive activities make the experience engaging for young visitors.

Sheikh Khalifa pointed out that teaching the next generation about cultural practices like falconry and horse riding is vital. These activities do not just represent hobbies; they carry values such as respect, patience, courage, and love for nature. By learning them, children inherit not only skills but also the wisdom of their ancestors.

A Timeless Message

Sheikh Khalifa’s visit to ADIHEX 2025 carried a timeless message. It showed that the UAE honours its traditions while embracing the future. It reflected the leadership’s vision of building a society that respects its past, celebrates its present, and prepares for its future.

His presence at the exhibition was both a recognition of the organisers’ hard work and a signal of the nation’s pride in its cultural identity.

The 22nd Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition stands as a shining example of how heritage and innovation can live together in harmony. From falconry and equestrian sports to modern technologies and environmental solutions, the event reflects the UAE’s values of respect, progress, and unity.

Through the visit of His Excellency Sheikh Khalifa bin Tahnoon, the message is clear: our traditions remain strong, our innovations are bright, and together they create a future worthy of pride.
