The Emergencies, Crises, and Disasters Management Centre in Abu Dhabi (ADCMC) has completed its yearly event called the Business Continuity and Alternative National Service Forum – Murona. This important event brought together leaders and officials from both government and private organisations. It was held in the presence of His Excellency Major General Ahmed Saif bin Zaitoon Al Muhairi, who is the Chairman of ADCMC and also the Commander-in-Chief of Abu Dhabi Police.
The main goal of the forum was to improve how Abu Dhabi handles emergencies, crises, and disasters. It focused on helping both public and private sector organisations become stronger and better prepared for unexpected situations.

On the first day of the event, a new Abu Dhabi Healthcare Business Continuity Standard was introduced. This standard was created in partnership with the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi. It is the first of its kind in the world and is made especially for the healthcare sector. This is part of a bigger plan to create special guidelines for all important sectors in Abu Dhabi. These guidelines will help make sure the city can keep running smoothly even during tough times.
Also, during the first day, 129 young people graduated from the Alternative National Service Program. These graduates were from three different batches. The program trains them to support essential services during emergencies.
The forum included many discussions where experts and professionals shared their knowledge about how to keep businesses and services running during a crisis. They spoke about what has worked in the past and what can be improved. This helped everyone learn from each other.
As part of the event, 21 local organisations were honoured for successfully using the Alternative National Service Program. Another 10 local entities were also recognised for fully meeting the National Business Continuity Standard.
His Excellency Matar Saeed Al Nuaimi, the Director General of ADCMC, shared how committed the centre is to making Abu Dhabi a strong and well-prepared city. He said that the centre works hard to make sure all organisations follow the national standards by doing checks and inspections. These checks help fix any problems and make the system better and stronger.
He said, “The forum allowed government departments and private companies to share their experiences and learn from one another. By looking at past events and what we learned from them, we can come up with new and better ideas for dealing with crises. This helps everyone work better together.”
He also encouraged more government organisations to use the Alternative National Service Program. This program helps make sure that important services continue to run, even when emergencies happen.
His Excellency added, “This program is a complete system that helps keep our community safe and stable by encouraging teamwork between different groups.”
ADCMC will continue to organise events like this forum. These gatherings are important because they help strengthen teamwork and improve the way Abu Dhabi deals with emergencies. The centre understands that keeping services running during a crisis is key to making sure the city is always ready and able to respond quickly and effectively.
