Rashid Al Obad Appointed Director General of Shams

His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, the Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has made an important decision for Sharjah Media City – Free Zone Authority, also known as Shams.

He issued a new Emiri Decree that announces the promotion and appointment of a new Director General for Shams. According to this decree, His Excellency Rashid Abdullah Al Obad has been promoted to the position of Director General. He will now take charge of leading Shams and managing its work. His promotion is under the special job grade system used by the Government of Sharjah.

This decision is official and will begin from the date the decree was issued.

Sharjah Media City – Shams is a free zone in Sharjah that helps creative businesses grow, especially in media and digital fields. With this new leadership, Shams is expected to continue its progress and development.
