WhatsApp is bringing new smart features to its app. In the latest test version, two new things have been added: a smart helper shortcut and a tool to make group pictures in a new way. These changes show that WhatsApp’s owner, Meta, wants to add more smart technology to its apps. Some people are happy about this, but others are not sure if it is needed.

The first new thing is the smart helper shortcut. It lets people ask questions, talk, and even upload pictures without opening WhatsApp. This makes it easier and faster to use. People can also make the shortcut bigger or smaller on their phone screen. But, only some users who already have access to this smart helper can use it. Since Meta’s smart helper works like other chatbots, it can answer many different questions. Many people are already using this helper inside WhatsApp, and this shortcut will help more people find it quickly.
The second new thing is a tool that helps create group pictures. Instead of choosing a photo, people can type a few words about what they want, and the smart tool will make a picture for them. People can use this by clicking the pencil icon when changing a group’s picture. Some users like this because it lets them make fun and different pictures for their groups. But others think it is not useful and does not really help make WhatsApp better. Some people feel WhatsApp should use smart tools for safety and privacy instead of just making new pictures.
Meta has been adding more smart tools to its apps, but some WhatsApp users are worried. They think WhatsApp should focus more on keeping chats safe instead of adding new picture-making tools. Some are also wondering if this new way of making pictures will be added to profile photos or chat backgrounds in the future.
Right now, only some people using the test version of WhatsApp can try these new features. Whether everyone will get them depends on how users react. WhatsApp keeps changing and adding new things, but not everyone is sure if these updates are really needed.
