A Pakistani man has been charged with murder after allegedly shooting the administrator of a community WhatsApp group. The incident took place in Peshawar, the capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, a province near Afghanistan, on Thursday evening.
The victim, Mushtaq Ahmed, was shot and killed by a man named Ashfaq, who was reportedly upset after being removed from the WhatsApp group. According to police documents shared with AFP, Ashfaq has been charged with Mushtaq's murder.

Mushtaq's brother said that Mushtaq had removed Ashfaq from the group after a heated argument. However, both men had agreed to meet and resolve their differences. Unfortunately, when Ashfaq showed up to the meeting, he was carrying a gun. Instead of talking things over, he opened fire and killed Mushtaq.
The police statement confirms that Ashfaq was angry because he had been kicked out of the WhatsApp group.
