Meta is planning to start a paid service for its chatbot, Meta AI. This service will work like the paid plans from other big tech companies that offer special chatbot features. A person who knows about the plan said that testing will start in the second part of this year. But Meta does not expect to earn a lot of money from it until next year.

Meta AI was launched in September 2023. It is a smart assistant that helps people by answering questions and solving problems. The company is spending a lot of money to improve its AI tools. In January, Meta’s CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, said they will spend up to $65 billion this year to make their AI systems better.
Meta is also working on human-like robots that can help with tasks. A new team inside the company is building these robots. They want them to be useful for different types of work. Some reports have talked about this project.
Another plan from Meta is to launch a separate Meta AI app. This app will work with Facebook and Instagram. People who know about the project said the app will be ready later this year.
Big tech companies are spending a lot of money to make their AI tools better. After the success of ChatGPT, more companies are now competing in this space. Microsoft plans to spend about $80 billion next year on data centers. Amazon also said its spending in 2025 will be more than the $75 billion it plans to spend this year.
These companies are racing to make better AI tools and services. Meta’s new paid plan for Meta AI is one part of its bigger goal to be a leader in this fast-changing field.
