Ramadan in the UAE: Reflections on Humanity, Leadership, and Lasting Values

In the United Arab Emirates, I have lived through Ramadan moments and memories that remain deeply etched in my soul—too profound to ever be forgotten. They continue to carve lasting impressions within me, growing more radiant with the passing years, never fading. Just as the places, architecture, and aesthetic beauty of the UAE inspire my thoughts and imagination, the noble spirits of its people have inspired me even more.

I have truly been fortunate… I have seen, witnessed, and felt the meaning of humility, loyalty, and ambition.

I would often see business leaders sitting on the ground at iftar, side by side with humble workers and hardworking employees—a scene that captures the essence of values and reflects a profound humanity that cannot be bought.

They are people who, if they sense loyalty in you, will return it in abundance until you truly understand the meaning of life. And if they find sincerity in you, they give it back to you multiplied many times over.

By nature, I am restless and constantly in motion, drawn to ambitious souls striving for work, growth, and building. These moments have always inspired me, and even as they pass, their beautiful memories remain within me, never leaving.

As Ramadan draws to a close, I do not feel it is departing as much as it is transforming within us—becoming a living imprint that guides us. It is as though it leaves behind lamps in our souls that never go out, illuminating our paths whenever days grow dim.

Farewell, O month of goodness… farewell, O school of values—until we meet again. And welcome to Eid—not merely as a fleeting joy, but as the fruit of what Ramadan has planted in our hearts; a joy that carries forward those noble meanings.
