Since it started, the UAE SWAT Challenge has gained worldwide attention as a prestigious platform where rapid response units and tactical teams showcase their abilities. Teams will demonstrate their strength, creativity, and innovative approaches as they compete for prizes and medals.

The Organizing Committee for the event has already confirmed the participation of 93 specialized teams from various police departments and tactical units across the globe. More registrations are expected in the coming weeks, reflecting the increasing popularity of the event as a leading global gathering for tactical expertise.
His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, said the UAE SWAT Challenge 2025 has become the largest global event for special units and tactical teams. He noted that each year sees a rise in the number of participating teams from regions including Asia, Europe, Africa, and the Americas.

Lt. Gen. Al Marri credited the success of the challenge to the strong support of Lieutenant General His Highness Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior. He explained that this support has helped elevate the event’s international profile and made it more inclusive by welcoming both male and female teams from around the world.

He also highlighted how past editions of the challenge have displayed remarkable preparation, teamwork, and strength among the teams, establishing the UAE SWAT Challenge as a top-tier event for tactical policing. Lt. Gen. Al Marri reaffirmed Dubai Police's commitment to ensuring the 2025 edition showcases Dubai as a prime destination for hosting major international events. He extended his best wishes to the competing teams and emphasized Dubai Police’s focus on innovation, collaboration, and excellence in both policing and sports.

Brigadier Obaid Mubarak Al Ketbi, Acting Deputy Director of Organisations Security and Protective Emergency and Chairman of the Organizing Committee said the goal of the UAE SWAT Challenge is to encourage competition, share expertise, and introduce participants to the latest global practices in tactical operations. He explained that the event not only tests the readiness and efficiency of tactical teams but also promotes cooperation and learning among participants.

Brig. Al Ketbi praised the event’s remarkable growth, which he attributed to the guidance and support of Lt. Gen. Al Marri. He explained that Lt. Gen. Al Marri ensures the event meets the highest standards in competition and preparation, making international teams feel welcomed and respected.

The competition will feature five challenges designed to test participants' physical fitness, teamwork, and tactical skills. These include the Tactical Operations Challenge, the Assault Challenge, the Officer Rescue Competition, the High Tower Challenge, and the Obstacle Course. Each challenge requires excellent planning, execution, and collaboration to win points and secure a spot on the podium.

Brig. Al Ketbi expressed his excitement about the high level of interest in this year’s challenge. He shared his anticipation of watching the teams compete in a setting that not only encourages intense competition but also fosters the exchange of ideas and improvement of tactical skills.

The UAE SWAT Challenge 2025 promises to be an extraordinary event that showcases the best in global tactical policing while fostering innovation and collaboration among teams from around the world.
