His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, said the UAE SWAT Challenge 2025 has become the largest global event for special units and tactical teams. He noted that each year sees a rise in the number of participating teams from regions including Asia, Europe, Africa, and the Americas.

Lt. Gen. Al Marri credited the success of the challenge to the strong support of Lieutenant General His Highness Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior. He explained that this support has helped elevate the event’s international profile and made it more inclusive by welcoming both male and female teams from around the world.

Brigadier Obaid Mubarak Al Ketbi, Acting Deputy Director of Organisations Security and Protective Emergency and Chairman of the Organizing Committee said the goal of the UAE SWAT Challenge is to encourage competition, share expertise, and introduce participants to the latest global practices in tactical operations. He explained that the event not only tests the readiness and efficiency of tactical teams but also promotes cooperation and learning among participants.

Brig. Al Ketbi praised the event’s remarkable growth, which he attributed to the guidance and support of Lt. Gen. Al Marri. He explained that Lt. Gen. Al Marri ensures the event meets the highest standards in competition and preparation, making international teams feel welcomed and respected.

The competition will feature five challenges designed to test participants' physical fitness, teamwork, and tactical skills. These include the Tactical Operations Challenge, the Assault Challenge, the Officer Rescue Competition, the High Tower Challenge, and the Obstacle Course. Each challenge requires excellent planning, execution, and collaboration to win points and secure a spot on the podium.
