UAE & Kuwait Launch First Women’s Forum to Empower Women

Under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union (GWU) and Mother of the Nation, the UAE, in cooperation with Kuwait’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, is hosting the First Emirati-Kuwaiti Women’s Forum until February 3, 2026. The forum follows the theme: “Together We Are… Together We Become… Together We Create Tomorrow.”

The forum celebrates the historical ties between the UAE and Kuwait, responding to the call of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, to strengthen cooperation and highlight women’s roles in national development.

Blending physical attendance with virtual participation, the forum provides a platform for dialogue, knowledge exchange, and collaboration, helping shape a future led by women.

It aligns the Mother of the Nation 50:50 Vision, which highlights women as the heart of society and key drivers of development, with Kuwait Vision 2035, focused on empowering national capacities. This partnership emphasizes investing in people and building stable, prosperous societies.

The forum aims to showcase the contribution of Emirati and Kuwaiti women in strengthening bilateral relations and advancing initiatives that improve quality of life. Women leaders will share insights, discuss key issues, and propose practical solutions to boost empowerment.

An accompanying exhibition, sponsored by the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development, Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce, and the Khalifa Fund, highlights women’s economic and social initiatives. Visitors can explore practical models of empowerment, products from small and startup businesses, and contributions of productive families.

The exhibition also celebrates cultural heritage, featuring traditional handicrafts, cuisine, and fashion from the UAE and Kuwait. This reflects women’s role in preserving culture while creating economic and social value.

The forum is expected to strengthen institutional cooperation between the UAE and Kuwait, launch joint initiatives, and expand programs supporting women’s empowerment, positively impacting families and society in both nations.
