The third round of the 3rd Khaled Bin Mohamed Bin Zayed Jiu-Jitsu Championship (No-Gi) is scheduled for 11-12 April 2026 at the Zayed Sports Complex in Fujairah. Organized by the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation, the event attracts top clubs and academies from across the UAE, all competing to improve their standings in this edition of the championship.
The championship will feature Under-12, Under-14, and Under-16 categories on the first day, while the second day will host Under-18, Adults, and Masters divisions, in line with the multi-age group format.
Unlike traditional Gi competitions, No-Gi matches are faster-paced and demand quick reflexes and strong physical control, providing a unique challenge as athletes advance through increasingly competitive rounds.
Fahad Ali Al Shamsi, Secretary-General of the UAE Jiu-Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts Federation, highlighted the championship’s growth: “The previous rounds witnessed strong participation and close competition. Round 3 will focus on consistency and adaptability, especially in No-Gi matches where quick decision-making and precise execution are key. We are also pleased to see families supporting athletes, creating a positive environment on and off the mat.”
The first round of this edition, also dedicated to No-Gi matches, saw Sharjah Self-Defence Sports Club leading the standings, followed by Al Ain Jiu-Jitsu Club in second place and Palms Sports Academy - Team 777 in third, reflecting high levels of competitiveness among the UAE’s top Jiu-Jitsu clubs.
The championship continues to be a key platform for young and professional athletes to showcase their talent, gain experience, and elevate the overall standard of Jiu-Jitsu in the UAE.
