In a landmark step for healthcare in the UAE, PureHealth, the region’s largest healthcare group, has launched nationwide virtual mental health services through its AI-enabled health app, Pura. The new platform allows residents to access licensed psychologists and psychiatrists from the comfort of their homes, marking a significant stride toward making mental health a central pillar of overall wellbeing.
The service, developed in collaboration with SAKINA—the UAE’s largest mental health network—offers private, expert-led sessions via the app. Users can now book consultations quickly and securely, ensuring that timely support is never out of reach. This initiative reflects a growing recognition of mental health as a vital component of health, empowering people to seek help without stigma or delay.

PureHealth’s association with SAKINA brings decades of clinical expertise, cultural insight, and evidence-based therapy to the digital platform. Licensed mental health professionals are available for online consultations to anyone, including individuals covered by Daman insurance, ensuring broad accessibility across the nation.
Mental health statistics highlight the urgency of such services. According to the World Health Organization, one in eight people globally experiences a mental health disorder at any given time. In the GCC region, up to 80% of cases go undiagnosed, and around 75% of those affected do not seek professional help, often due to privacy concerns or limited access. The launch of Pura directly addresses these barriers, offering a discreet, convenient, and supportive environment for mental health care.
Beyond consultations, the app features guided meditations, self-help resources, and educational content designed to enhance emotional resilience. Preventive wellness programs are tailored to individual needs, allowing users to take proactive steps in maintaining their mental wellbeing.
By integrating advanced digital tools with compassionate care, PureHealth’s initiative is not only expanding access but also personalizing the mental health experience. The platform embodies a forward-thinking approach, combining technology, inclusivity, and preventive care to support the nation’s broader health goals.
With Pura now live across the UAE, individuals can download the app, schedule mental health consultations, and explore a growing range of wellness resources. This launch underscores the potential of digital health solutions to make mental health support more immediate, accessible, and effective for communities everywhere.
