PureHealth and its subsidiary, SEHA, have teamed up with Cincinnati Children’s, the top children’s hospital in the United States. This partnership will bring world-class pediatric care to Abu Dhabi and the UAE, through SEHA’s Sheikh Khalifa Medical City (SKMC).
This collaboration marks an important step in improving healthcare services for children in Abu Dhabi. It will help advance clinical care, research, and medical training, showing the shared goal of making Abu Dhabi a global leader in children’s healthcare.
The agreement was signed during the Abu Dhabi Global Health Week in 2025. The event was attended by His Excellency Mansoor Al Mansoori, Chairman of the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DoH), Her Excellency Dr. Noura Khamis Al Ghaithi, Undersecretary of the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi, Shaista Asif, Group CEO of PureHealth, and Rashed Al Qubaisi, Group COO at PureHealth. Saeed Al Kuwaiti, CEO of SEHA, and Oliver Rhine, Chief Strategy Officer at Cincinnati Children’s, also signed the deal.

Through this partnership, SEHA SKMC and Cincinnati Children’s will work together to improve pediatric healthcare in the UAE. They will focus on areas like Cardiac Surgery, Neurosurgery, Oncology, and Transplant Medicine. Combining SEHA SKMC’s local knowledge with Cincinnati Children’s global expertise, this partnership will not only raise the standard of care but also create a culture of innovation and learning.
His Excellency Mansoor Al Mansoori, Chairman of DoH – Abu Dhabi, shared: “Abu Dhabi is committed to providing top-quality healthcare. By strengthening partnerships with leading healthcare organizations worldwide, we can offer better care and ensure healthier lives for our community. This partnership with Cincinnati Children’s is an example of how we are improving healthcare in the UAE and beyond.”
Shaista Asif, CEO of PureHealth, added: “PureHealth is proud to be part of partnerships that improve lives. This collaboration puts Abu Dhabi at the forefront of children’s healthcare in the region. It will reduce the need for children to travel abroad for treatment, improve local medical expertise, and create a strong healthcare system. Our goal is to make Abu Dhabi a leader in pediatric medicine and provide exceptional care to children and families.”
The partnership is also focused on improving the way pediatric care is provided. Both institutions will work together to create better care models, improve patient pathways, and test new treatments that will have a lasting effect on healthcare systems. This effort aims to make pediatric care in Abu Dhabi some of the best in the Middle East.
Dr. Steve Davis, President and CEO of Cincinnati Children’s, shared his excitement: “At Cincinnati Children’s, we’ve always wanted to be a leader in child health. We’ve made great progress over the years and are now partnering with SEHA Sheikh Khalifa Medical City to take our work to the next level. Together, we aim to build a world-class pediatric center that will benefit not just the UAE, but children all around the world.”
This partnership is part of a bigger plan by PureHealth and SEHA to make Abu Dhabi a global leader in healthcare. The new Pediatric Center of Excellence at SEHA SKMC is already making a big difference. It is providing high-quality, specialized care to children across the UAE and the Middle East, so families no longer need to travel abroad for treatment.
