The UAE’s top court, the Federal Supreme Court, has allowed French man Mehdi Charafa to be sent back to France. He is accused of being involved in drug trafficking and money laundering. Charafa had tried to stop the decision in a lower court, but the higher court decided to go ahead with the extradition.

This move is possible because of an agreement signed between the UAE and France in 2007. The agreement makes it easier to send criminals back to their home countries when they commit crimes in other places.
The UAE has made over 45 similar agreements with different countries, showing how serious they are about working together to stop crime. The UAE plans to sign more agreements to make sure that criminals can’t escape justice.
These steps show that the UAE is focused on improving cooperation with other countries to fight crimes like drug trafficking and money laundering, making the world safer for everyone.
