In a bid to regulate the labour market effectively, the Saudi Ministry of Human Resources introduced the Musaned domestic labour platform. This platform serves as a comprehensive resource for clients, offering information on rights, duties, and a range of services such as visa issuance, recruitment requests, and contractual relations between employers and workers.
The ministry has mandated the contracting process through the Musaned platform, positioning it as the official recruitment channel in the kingdom. Additionally, the ministry has prioritized safeguarding the rights of all parties involved in the recruitment process, implementing measures such as documenting contracts through an e-unified contract system.
This emphasis on transparency and protection has garnered increased trust and confidence in the platform, resulting in over 1,000 companies and offices registering as accredited recruitment facilities across Saudi Arabia.
Furthermore, transfer operations for domestic workers have been significantly streamlined, with associated procedures now more accessible and flexible. The ministry recently announced the introduction of a worker transfer service through Musaned, allowing for seamless transitions between employers with the employee's consent.
Domestic workers in Saudi Arabia encompass a wide range of roles, including housekeepers, drivers, housemaids, cleaners, cooks, guards, farmers, live-in nurses, tutors, and nannies.
