Sheikh Salem bin Abdulrahman Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Ruler’s Office, opened the "Barakat Al Dar" Endowment Building in Al Majaz 2, Sharjah. This new building was made by the Sharjah Department of Awqaf and the Sharjah Social Service Department (SSSD) with an investment of over AED 37 million. The money from the building will be used to help elderly people and children who don’t have enough care, making sure they are well looked after.

Sheikh Salem cut the ribbon to open the building. Afterward, he toured a model apartment and checked out the rooms and features that will make the residents feel comfortable.
The building has 15 floors with different sized apartments. There are also five floors for parking, with 85 parking spots. The ground floor has shops and offices that help manage the building and provide services for the people who live there.
At the end of the event, Sheikh Salem received a special gift as a thank you for attending and supporting the opening.
The “Barakat Al Dar” project is part of Sharjah Awqaf's plan to bring back the tradition of giving. This project is focused on doing good for parents and helping the community.
The event was attended by many important people, including Ahmed Ibrahim Al-Mail, Head of the Social Services Department; Abdullah bin Yarouf Al Sebousi, Head of the Islamic Affairs Department; Talib Ibrahim Al Marri, Director of the Awqaf Department; Abdulaziz Ahmed Al-Shamsi, Director of Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department; and Mohammed Hassan Khalaf, Director of the Sharjah Broadcasting Authority. Many other officials were also present.
