Award Categories

The award includes three main categories:

  • Companies: Recognizing the top three delivery service providers and the top three companies operating through digital platforms.

  • Drivers: Honoring the top 200 delivery drivers who demonstrate excellence and safety.

  • Partners: Acknowledging the best strategic partner contributing to the industry.

Leadership Perspectives

Ahmed Mahboub, CEO of the Licensing Agency at RTA, shared his excitement about the success of the first edition of the award. He noted that many companies and drivers participated last year, proving that the initiative motivates the industry to maintain global best practices. He emphasized that improving service quality benefits not only delivery workers but also the entire community.

Mahboub also highlighted that the award supports Dubai’s goal of becoming a ‘Safe City’ by reducing road accidents. He stressed that delivery companies play an important role in maintaining high safety standards, which helps ensure better working conditions for drivers and a more reliable experience for customers.

The rapid growth of the delivery service industry in Dubai has been driven by increased demand from individuals and businesses. Mahboub urged all companies and drivers to take part in the award, as it provides a great opportunity to showcase excellence and commitment to safety.

Dubai Police’s Role

Major General Saif Muhair Al Mazrouei, Director of the General Department of Traffic at Dubai Police, emphasized the importance of such awards in improving road safety and service quality. He explained that while traffic laws help keep roads safe, programs like this also encourage responsible driving and create a culture of safety among delivery workers.

He pointed out that unsafe behaviors, such as not wearing protective gear or reckless driving, often lead to serious accidents. These awards encourage companies to focus on safety by implementing international best practices and using advanced technology to monitor and improve driving behavior.

Dubai Police remains committed to improving road safety by organizing awareness campaigns, workshops, and training programs for drivers. They also use advanced monitoring systems to regulate traffic and ensure that Dubai continues to be one of the safest cities in the world.

Selection Process

To win in the Best Company category, businesses must meet several key criteria:

  • Follow quality, health, and safety standards.

  • Comply with all RTA regulations.

  • Use advanced technology to enhance services.

  • Provide continuous training for their drivers.

  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

For the Best Driver category, participants will be judged based on:

  • A clean record with no complaints, violations, or accidents.

  • Their overall performance and professionalism.

  • Their contribution to making delivery services safer and more efficient.

Encouraging Participation

Al Mazrouei encouraged delivery service providers to take part in this initiative, stating that working together will create a safer road environment for everyone. He added that this competition is not just about winning—it is about raising industry standards, ensuring the safety of drivers, and making Dubai a better place to live and work.

This award reflects the commitment of RTA, Dubai Police, and industry leaders to continuously improve the delivery service sector. By participating, companies and drivers get a chance to be recognized for their hard work while contributing to a safer and more efficient delivery system in the city.
