In a significant update, Roche Holding AG, the Swiss healthcare leader, has revised its full-year profit outlook following impressive sales results for the first nine months of 2025. The company reported that group sales increased by 7% at constant exchange rates, amounting to CHF 45.9 billion. In Swiss francs, this reflects a 2% growth, primarily driven by its Pharmaceuticals Division's solid performance.

Roche anticipates core earnings per share to rise in the high single- to low double-digit percentage range and plans to boost its dividend in Swiss francs, showcasing confidence in sustained growth.

The Pharmaceuticals Division posted robust growth of 9% at constant exchange rates, hitting CHF 35.6 billion. The notable rise was powered by successful therapies such as Phesgo, Xolair, Hemlibra, Vabysmo, and Ocrevus, collectively contributing CHF 15.8 billion, marking a CHF 2.4 billion increase from last year. This growth helped to compensate for a CHF 0.5 billion decline in sales from older medications that have lost exclusivity, like Avastin and Herceptin.

In the Diagnostics Division, there was a modest growth of 1% at constant exchange rates, although sales dipped by 4% in Swiss francs to CHF 10.3 billion, influenced by healthcare pricing reforms in China. However, the demand for pathology and molecular diagnostics mitigated the downturn's impact.

Regionally, sales in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa rose by 6%, while North America experienced a 7% increase. Mixed results were observed in other regions—Latin America advanced by 14%, but the Asia-Pacific experienced a decline of 15% due to pricing pressures. Remarkably, China's sales increased by 9%, supported by Phesgo's addition to the national reimbursement list and greater demand for Xofluza, Polivy, and Vabysmo.

Among Roche's top-performing medications, Ocrevus led the pack with CHF 5.2 billion in sales, followed by Hemlibra at CHF 3.5 billion and Vabysmo at CHF 3.1 billion. Other notable sales figures included Tecentriq (CHF 2.6 billion), Perjeta (CHF 2.3 billion), Xolair (CHF 2.2 billion), and a 54% surge for Phesgo, reaching CHF 1.8 billion.

Additionally, Roche has taken strategic steps to enhance its pipeline, announcing the acquisition of U.S. biopharmaceutical firm 89bio, Inc. for up to $3.5 billion. This acquisition adds a phase III candidate for metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis to Roche's offerings. The company has also commenced construction of a $700 million manufacturing facility in North Carolina, which is part of a broader $50 billion investment initiative.

With strong sales figures, an expanding late-stage pipeline, and new manufacturing initiatives, Roche is reinforcing its role in pharmaceutical innovation and global healthcare advancement.
