Preity Zinta recently took part in an Ask Me Anything (AMA) session on X (formerly Twitter), where a follower asked her when she would file a defamation case against Rahul Gandhi. This question was asked because his political party, the Indian National Congress (INC), had accused Zinta of letting the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) control her social media accounts. They also claimed that Zinta had her INR 18 crore loan written off.

Zinta calmly replied to the follower, saying that it wasn’t right to blame someone for what others have done. She added that she believes in solving problems directly and not through indirect fights. She said, "I don’t have any issues with Rahul Gandhi, so let him live in peace, and I will live in peace too."
In the same session, Zinta was asked if she would ever join politics. She firmly said, "No! No politics for me." She explained that over the years, many political parties had asked her to join, but she had always said no. She explained that politics was just not her thing.
Zinta had already reacted to the accusations in a strong way before this session. She used her social media to clarify that the claims made by Congress Kerala were false. A report claimed that she had handed over her social media accounts to the BJP and had her loan written off. This report also said that the bank collapsed and people lost their money because of it. Zinta was shocked to see this false news being shared by Congress Kerala. She quickly responded, saying, "I run my own social media accounts, and no one wrote off my loan. Shame on you for spreading!"
She added, "I am surprised that a political party is spreading lies and using my name to get attention." Zinta made it clear that she prefers peace and handling problems directly. She emphasized that she doesn’t want to be a part of any political drama and wants to live a peaceful life.
