Kate Middleton has shared a calm and thoughtful message in the third part of her “Mother Nature” video series. The video, released on November 15, shows the Princess of Wales walking in a quiet forest, cooking outdoors with chef Gill Meller, and spending time with children. The beautiful colours of the Autumn season form the backdrop of her message.
In the video, Kate talks about how nature teaches us to accept change. She explains that trees drop their leaves in Autumn to prepare for winter, and in the same way, people must also learn to let go of things that no longer help them. She says that when we release old worries or habits, we make space for new growth and clarity.
Kate encourages people to pay attention to both their inner world and the world around them. She believes that when we understand what truly matters, we can live with more peace and focus. She adds that the turning of each season shows that life is always moving and changing, and there is beauty in that process.
Her message is similar to the ancient Indian idea of tyaga, which means letting go. Monk-author Om Swami describes this in his writings as a way of freeing the mind from unnecessary attachments. He says that tyaga does not mean running away from duties. Instead, it means doing your work with sincerity but not becoming stressed about the result. This helps a person feel calm and balanced. He also explains that this practice can begin with very small steps, like taking a short break from a favourite habit, and over time it can lead to emotional freedom.
Kate launched the “Mother Nature” series earlier this year to show how spending time outdoors can improve mental health. She has often spoken about how nature helped her during her cancer treatment in 2024. She called nature her “sanctuary,” a safe place where she could breathe and recover.
This new video comes soon after Kate, Prince William, and their three children moved into their new home, Forest Lodge, in Windsor. The peaceful surroundings appear to match the message of her series—slow down, connect with nature, and learn to accept the changes that life brings.
