Emirates is set to transform the inflight experience by rolling out Starlink Wi-Fi across its entire in-service fleet, starting with its Boeing 777 aircraft in November 2025. The airline plans to complete the fleetwide installation by mid-2027, offering passengers ultra-fast, ground-quality internet at cruising altitude.
The new service allows travelers to stream movies, play online games, make calls, and work seamlessly on both seatback screens and personal devices. Emirates will equip approximately 14 aircraft per month, ensuring a smooth and accelerated rollout across its fleet of 232 planes. Installation on the Airbus A380 fleet is scheduled to begin in February 2026.
Each Boeing 777 will feature two Starlink antennae, while the Airbus A380 will receive an industry-first three antennae system, providing extensive coverage and enhanced connectivity across all cabin classes. Live TV over Starlink will also be introduced, initially on personal devices and later on seatback screens by late December 2025.
The Wi-Fi service will be entirely complimentary for all passengers, with easy one-click access requiring no payment or special membership. Emirates has already equipped its first Boeing 777-300ER, A6-EPF, which debuted at the Dubai Airshow, allowing attendees to experience high-speed connectivity on the ground.
This initiative complements Emirates’ ongoing cabin refurbishment program, which includes new Premium Economy cabins, upgraded Business and First Class offerings, and refreshed entertainment systems, ensuring passengers enjoy consistent premium experiences across all routes and aircraft types.
The move positions Emirates at the forefront of inflight connectivity, offering travelers reliable internet access and enhancing productivity, entertainment, and communication during flights.
