Under the directives of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, Dubai Humanitarian has successfully facilitated a major humanitarian aid shipment to Gaza.
Through its Global Humanitarian Impact Fund (GHIF), the organization coordinated the overland delivery of 22.3 metric tonnes of essential medical supplies. The shipment, transported via a convoy of three trucks, includes life-saving aid provided by the World Health Organization. The supplies are expected to address urgent healthcare needs and benefit approximately 110,000 people affected by the ongoing crisis.
Giuseppe Saba, CEO and Board Member of Dubai Humanitarian, emphasized the organization’s commitment despite global challenges. He stated that ongoing disruptions in supply chains have not hindered their efforts, as they continue working closely with partners to ensure timely delivery of critical assistance to affected communities.
He further highlighted that Dubai Humanitarian remains fully operational, actively mobilizing resources and leveraging its Global Humanitarian Impact Fund to deliver aid efficiently, even in complex and high-pressure environments.
Since the beginning of the year, international humanitarian organizations operating through Dubai Humanitarian have extended support to over 40 countries. These efforts are made possible through strong coordination with government entities, humanitarian agencies, and commercial partners, enabling the use of advanced multimodal logistics solutions to sustain global humanitarian supply chains.
Dubai continues to reinforce its position as a leading global hub for humanitarian response, ensuring that vital aid reaches those in need swiftly and effectively.
