Real Madrid took the lead early in the fifth minute when Kylian Mbappe scored for them. But Barcelona quickly responded. Lamine Yamal scored the equalizer for Barcelona, and then Robert Lewandowski, Raphinha, and Alejandro Balde each scored a goal, making it 4-1 before halftime.
In the second half, Barcelona continued to play well. Raphinha scored another goal for them, and Rodrygo managed to get a goal for Real Madrid. Despite the red card for Barcelona’s goalkeeper, they kept their strong lead and finished the game 5-2.
This win was very important for Barcelona as it was their first trophy in over a year, after they didn't win any titles last season. Hansi Flick, Barcelona’s new coach, won his first title with the team. He said, “A goal for big clubs is always to win titles. But now we have to show it in the next games,” showing that they are ready to keep winning.
This victory also stopped Real Madrid from winning their third title of the year. Real Madrid had won the European Super Cup and the Intercontinental Cup recently. Real Madrid’s coach, Carlo Ancelotti, said that his team didn’t play well in the first half. “In the first half, we didn’t play football, we hit long balls and that wasn’t the idea,” he said.
Barcelona’s win in this important match gave them their 15th Spanish Super Cup title. It showed that Barcelona is back in strong form, while Real Madrid had a tough time in the final.
