This year's AlUla Dates Season is captivating visitors with a range of engaging events, including an exciting auction and a vibrant farmers' market. One of the standout features of the season is an interactive culinary session led by renowned chefs. These chefs skillfully prepare traditional dishes inspired by AlUla's rich heritage, with locally sourced dates serving as a central ingredient.
During the culinary demonstrations, attendees are treated to live cooking showcases that highlight unique ingredients sourced directly from the AlUla region. This initiative not only enhances the culinary experience but also emphasizes the event's commitment to supporting AlUla's local economy and fostering sustainable partnerships with local farmers and producers. The Royal Commission for AlUla is dedicated to showcasing the region's cultural heritage while promoting innovative uses for dates across various products.

The farmers' market, which remains open to visitors until November 9, features a variety of activities, including a designated children's area and numerous stalls. These stalls provide valuable economic opportunities for local families and residents of AlUla. Shoppers can find booths specializing in dates and date-based products, honey, plants, flowers, and traditional clothing. Additionally, the market offers stalls showcasing artisanal crafts, accessories, and local cafés, providing a comprehensive experience of AlUla's vibrant community.
The AlUla Date Auction, now in its seventh week, took place on Friday and Saturday. This event, organized by the Royal Commission for AlUla in collaboration with various public and private entities, is held next to the Iskan Stadium south of AlUla. The auction serves as an essential platform for AlUla's farmers, allowing them to present their premium date harvest to buyers and investors from both Saudi Arabia and international markets. This initiative not only enhances the visibility of AlUla's agricultural products but also fosters connections between farmers and potential buyers, promoting growth and sustainability in the region's agricultural sector.
