Under the care of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who is the Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court, the second Al Wathba Dates Festival will take place. The event will have 12 contests for date packaging, with and without extra ingredients. These contests will focus on six types of dates: Khalas, Fard, Dabbas Boumaan, Shishi, and Zamli. There will be 120 prizes, worth over AED 2 million, for people taking part in the contests.
A market will be set up at the festival, where visitors can see shops selling dates and products made from dates. The market will also have shops selling farm tools and small palm trees, making it a lively place for buyers and sellers.
This festival follows the ideas of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God bless his soul. He wanted people to take care of palm trees and use them to help with food needs. The festival teaches the importance of palm trees and how they help farmers and the country.
The Al Wathba Dates Festival is also a special place for farmers and experts to meet and share ideas. They will talk about new ways to grow palm trees, take care of them, and make farming better.
This festival shows how much the UAE values the palm tree, which is an important part of its culture and history. The festival helps to keep old traditions alive while also looking for better ways to grow and sell dates. As part of the Sheikh Zayed Festival, the Al Wathba Dates Festival will give visitors a chance to enjoy and learn about the UAE’s love for palm trees and their products.
