The museum has five sections with fun displays. These displays use modern technology to help visitors learn about Islamic history and culture. The items in the museum are rare and encourage people to understand each other better.
A special part of the museum is the light experience in the "Dome of Peace." This space uses pictures and videos to share the mosque’s message. It is part of a bigger area that includes the museum and other cultural spaces.
Sheikh Mansour said that the opening of the "Light and Peace" museum is part of the UAE’s plan to spread culture, peace, and understanding. He said that the museum will help people around the world learn about Islamic culture and show the UAE’s support for peace and understanding between cultures.
He added, "This museum helps people see the beauty of Islamic culture. The UAE wants to share values like respect, peace, and understanding. We support efforts that help people live together in peace."
He also said, “The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Centre continues to share a message of peace and shows the UAE as a place for culture. It mixes lessons from the past with hopes for the future, helping people respect all cultures.”
The museum has five main parts: Values of Tolerance – The Abundance of Light, Sanctity and Worship – The Three Mosques, Beauty and Perfection – The Spirit of Creativity, Tolerance and Openness – The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, and Unity and Coexistence. There is also a space for families and children to enjoy.
The museum has many important items from Islamic history. Some of the key items are a piece of the covering of the Holy Kaaba, the first Islamic gold coin, golden pages from the Blue Qur'an, and a 14th-century astrolabe. There are also paintings, old books, and objects from different times in Islamic history.
To make sure everyone can understand, the museum offers information in seven languages: Arabic, English, Chinese, Spanish, French, Russian, and Hindi. Visitors can read or listen to the information in these languages using digital screens.
The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Centre will soon announce when the museum will open to the public. It hopes to share the museum’s message with people from all over the world.
