Ahmed bin Mohammed Oversees MoU Signing for Dubai Content Creators Programme

His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Media Council, recently attended the signing of several Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) between the Dubai Press Club (DPC) and key strategic partners. The agreements are part of the next phase of the Dubai Content Creators Programme, which aims to train young media talent with creative and technical skills to produce high-quality digital content.

Investing in Dubai’s Future Media
His Highness praised the programme for its role in shaping a strong and creative digital media sector in Dubai. He highlighted the importance of nurturing young content creators and giving them the tools they need to tell powerful stories.

He also stressed that collaboration between different sectors is key to producing meaningful content that reflects Dubai’s growth and achievements. “By equipping the next generation of content creators with the right skills, we are building a media environment that serves the community and supports Dubai’s long-term goals,” he said.

He added, “Dubai is committed to developing a media sector driven by creative and talented individuals. We want them to produce content that showcases the city’s future vision and shares Dubai’s success with the world.”

MoUs Signed with Key Partners
The signing took place during the Emirati Media Retreat, organized by the Dubai Press Club. The event brought together leading media figures, including editors-in-chief, writers, and representatives from major media organizations, to discuss the future of the UAE’s media sector.

The MoUs were signed by Her Excellency Mona Al Marri, Vice Chairperson and Managing Director of the Dubai Media Council and President of the Dubai Press Club, along with representatives from the programme’s strategic partners.

The partners and their content tracks include:

Economic Content Track: Signed by His Excellency Helal Al Marri, Director General of the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET).

Cultural Content Track: Signed by Her Excellency Hala Badri, Director General of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority.

Community Content Track: Signed by His Excellency Ahmed Darwish Al Muhairi, Director General of the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department (IACAD).

Health and Scientific Content Track: Signed by His Excellency Dr. Amer Sharif, CEO of Dubai Health and President of the Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences.

Sports Content Track: Signed by His Excellency Khalfan Belhoul, Vice Chairman of the Dubai Sports Council.

Strengthening Dubai’s Creative Sector
Her Excellency Mona Al Marri thanked all the partners for their support. She said that their collaboration will help position Dubai as a global media hub by building a skilled pool of content creators.

She highlighted the success of the programme’s first track, which focused on economic content. This track, created in partnership with the UAE Ministry of Economy, helped participants gain advanced skills in reporting on economic trends and news.

“We are now moving into a new phase, expanding the programme to cover more key sectors that influence people’s lives,” she said. “At the Dubai Press Club, we believe in building strong partnerships that help make Dubai’s media more competitive and impactful.”

Partners Share Their Vision
His Excellency Helal Al Marri said the programme will give content creators the skills they need to share Dubai’s story with the world. He explained that accurate and creative storytelling plays an important role in promoting Dubai’s culture and tourism offerings.

Her Excellency Hala Badri emphasized the importance of cultural content in preserving Dubai’s heritage and artistic identity. She said the programme will help creators share Dubai’s rich history and creative spirit through powerful digital content.

His Excellency Ahmed Darwish Al Muhairi highlighted the need for community-focused content that promotes social values and addresses public concerns. He believes this partnership will help media creators share meaningful stories that connect with people’s daily lives.

His Excellency Dr. Amer Sharif stressed the importance of health and scientific content in raising public awareness. He said the programme will train a new generation of creators to produce reliable and engaging content that highlights Dubai’s medical advancements.

His Excellency Khalfan Belhoul spoke about the sports content track, which will train participants to create high-quality sports stories. He said the programme will help showcase Dubai’s role as a global sports destination and promote a culture of health and fitness.

Empowering Future Media Talent
Maryam Al Mulla, Acting Director of the Dubai Press Club, said the programme’s first phase had a strong impact. Participants appreciated the hands-on training and expert-led workshops, which helped them improve their content creation skills.

She explained that the Dubai Content Creators Programme will continue to offer practical lessons and creative workshops to help participants become skilled media professionals.

The initiative is expected to inspire a new wave of talented content creators who will play a key role in shaping the future of Dubai’s media sector.
