The 9th Zayed Charity Run was held in Cairo with support from President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. More than 50,000 people joined the event to help cancer patients in Egypt. People of all ages took part in this race, showing care for others and kindness.

The race started near the Iconic Tower and ended at the Al-Fattah al-Aleem Mosque. It was a 10-kilometer run. Cash prizes of EGP 20 million were given out, and 200 Umrah trips were gifted to participants.
Many important people joined the event, like Dr. Sultan bin Saif Al Neyadi, UAE Minister of Youth Affairs, and Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Egypt’s Minister of Youth and Sports. The race was started by Mohammed Hilal Al Kaabi, Chairman of the Zayed Charity Run Committee, along with UAE Ambassador Mariam Khalifa Al Kaabi, Aref Hamad Al Awani from the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, Rashid Mubarak Al Mansouri from the Emirates Red Crescent, and Emirati astronauts. The money raised from the race was donated to the Children’s Cancer Hospital (57357) in Cairo.
In the Men’s 10km race, Yassir Ech Chaachoui from Morocco won first place. Ismail El Kharchi was second, and Salem Mohammed Salem was third. In the Women’s 10km race, Wafa Zaroul came first, Yusra Nsour came second, and Amina Bakhit came third. Islam Abu Ali won the 4km Paralympic Speed Chair race, while Haitham Adel won the 4km Paralympic Pedal Chair race.
Dr. Sultan bin Saif Al Neyadi said the race shows the strong friendship between the UAE and Egypt. He said the UAE always supports good causes. He felt happy seeing so many men, women, and children of all ages take part.
Dr. Ashraf Sobhy said he was glad to see a big crowd of over 50,000 people, including people with disabilities, amateurs, and professionals. He said the race's kind message has reached all parts of society.
Mohammed Hilal Al Kaabi said the race is about helping others and following the teachings of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. He said it was great to see so many people coming together for a good cause.
Aref Hamad Al Awani said the race’s success shows how sports can help people and bring change. He thanked everyone who worked hard to make the event a success.
Dr. Sherif Abouel Naga, the head of Children’s Cancer Hospital (57357), thanked the UAE for always helping those in need. He said the first race in 2014 helped build the hospital, and this year’s funds will help treat more children with cancer.
The Zayed Charity Run is a symbol of kindness, unity, and hope. It helps many people and brings communities together for a better future.
