Rabdan Academy, in close partnership with the Ministry of Interior, has announced that it will host the very first Inclusivity in Safety Conference on June 16, 2025. The event will take place at the Academy’s campus in Abu Dhabi and will be held in a hybrid format—meaning people can attend in person or join virtually.
The timing of this conference connects directly with the UAE’s Year of Community, supporting the country’s vision to build a society where everyone is included and protected. The main goal of the event is to make sure that People of Determination (POD) are not left out of emergency response plans and are fully included in civil protection efforts.
At the conference, several important topics will be discussed. These include how first responders can better assist People of Determination during emergencies, and how modern technology can make communities safer for everyone. Real-life examples and experiences from police forces around the world will also be shared. Attendees will get to learn from international case studies, research papers, and on-the-ground simulations that show how to respond quickly and effectively in times of crisis—especially when supporting PODs.

The event will also feature smart technology tools designed to help police officers and emergency teams in the field. These include artificial intelligence systems, GPS location trackers, and special communication devices that can assist PODs during difficult situations.
Salem Al Saeedi, Vice President of Rabdan Academy, said the conference is a major step forward. He explained that working together with the Ministry of Interior allows them to create better and safer plans for all people in the country. “This conference is a chance to open important discussions and build new ideas that can shape future policies,” he added.
Lieutenant Colonel Dana Humaid Al Marzouqi, Director General of the International Affairs Office at the Ministry of Interior, said that making safety more inclusive is a key focus for the Ministry. She highlighted the importance of showing how People of Determination can actively be part of national safety systems and how emergencies should be handled in ways that are fair and supportive for everyone.
The conference will also welcome global experts from the Secure Communities Forum—one of the world’s top groups working on community safety. These experts will lead panel talks and workshops, sharing their ideas and successful stories from other countries.
Leaders in safety, civil protection, education, and care organisations will all take part in the event. This makes the conference a strong platform for sharing knowledge, learning about the latest trends, and building better ways to respond to emergencies.
In the end, this event is more than just a conference—it shows the UAE’s strong promise to create a safe, strong, and inclusive society. It also helps the government design better policies based on real-life experiences and needs. By bringing together people from different areas—like government, police, and schools—the UAE is taking another big step in leading the way for inclusive safety, not just in the region, but around the world.
