Dubai Basketball Ends Memorable Debut Season in Belgrade

Dubai Basketball played their final game of the season in the semi-finals at Belgrade Arena, where they faced Serbia's strong team, Partizan. Even though Dubai took an early lead, they lost the match 114-97.

In the first few minutes, players Davis Bertans, Klemen Prepelić, and Nate Mason scored important three-pointers to give Dubai the lead. By the end of the first quarter, they were nine points ahead.

But in the second quarter, Partizan started to fight back. With their home fans cheering, they played stronger defense and reduced Dubai's lead to just one point by the end of the third quarter.

In the final part of the game, Partizan showed why they are champions. They scored 28 points in the last quarter and won the match. Still, Dubai didn’t give up and kept fighting until the very end.

Coach Jurica Golemac said, "We had a great season. We beat strong teams and gave Partizan a real challenge today."
This season was special for Dubai Basketball. It was their first time playing in the Adriatic League, where they faced top European teams. They even beat big teams like Red Star and Partizan during the season.

Coach Golemac added, “We picked great players who played well and worked hard. Now, we are already planning for next season. The work never stops.”Dubai Basketball’s journey has inspired many. They showed that even a new team from the Middle East can compete with Europe’s best. Their hard work has started a new chapter for basketball in Dubai and the whole region.
