If you're arriving in Dubai during Eid Al Adha, you're in for a special surprise. Passengers landing at Dubai Airports or entering through the Hatta border are being greeted with a specially-designed passport stamp that says "Eid in Dubai." This warm gesture is meant to celebrate the spirit of the festival with all travellers entering the country.
The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) is behind this thoughtful initiative. They’re using this festive stamp throughout the Eid weekend, offering visitors a memorable and cheerful welcome during one of the most special times of the year.
About Eid Al Adha 2025
Eid Al Adha, also known as the Feast of Sacrifice, is one of the most important religious holidays celebrated by Muslims across the world. It honours the story of Prophet Ibrahim, who was willing to sacrifice his son as a sign of obedience to God. The day is marked with prayers, family gatherings, acts of charity, and the traditional practice of sacrificing animals such as goats, sheep, cows, or camels to distribute meat to those in need.
