UAE issues dust alert as winds reduce road visibility

The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has warned people in the UAE about dusty weather that will reduce how far they can see. Strong winds will make it hard to see clearly, with some areas having less than 3,000 metres of visibility. The warning will stay in place until noon on Wednesday, and people are being asked to be careful when going outside.

Residents have also been told to close all doors and windows to keep the dust from getting inside their homes. The NCM also said there will be fog in some parts of the country, especially in coastal and international areas, from 6:30 am to 9:30 am. This fog will make it even harder to see.

Abu Dhabi Police have also warned drivers to be careful on the road. They are asked to follow the speed limits shown on the electronic signs, which may change during the stormy weather. The police reminded people to not use their phones or take videos while driving, as it could be dangerous.
