The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has once again shown its strong support and commitment to the people of Palestine. On Tuesday, the eighth UAE aid ship, named Khalifa, reached Al Arish Port in Egypt. This ship is part of a larger humanitarian mission known as “Operation Chivalrous Knight 3.” This operation is focused on helping Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, who are currently facing very tough living conditions.
The arrival of the Khalifa aid ship is part of the UAE’s continued effort to provide emergency humanitarian support to people suffering from the effects of conflict and shortages of food, water, medicine, and shelter.

Who Received the Ship in Egypt?
When the Khalifa ship arrived at the Al Arish Port, it was greeted by a team of officials and representatives. These included people from humanitarian and charitable organizations, as well as Ahmed Sari Al Mazrouei, who is the Secretary-General of the Emirates Red Crescent (ERC). There were also Egyptian officials present at the port to help coordinate the next steps of delivering the aid into Gaza.
What Is Operation Chivalrous Knight 3?
Operation Chivalrous Knight 3 is a large-scale humanitarian campaign launched by the UAE. It was created to send aid to people in areas affected by war or crisis, especially the Palestinian people in Gaza. Through this mission, the UAE is sending essential supplies like food, medicine, medical equipment, shelter materials, and other relief items.
This mission is not just about sending help one time. It is part of a continuous and long-term effort by the UAE to stand by the Palestinian people and ease their suffering. It shows that the UAE takes its humanitarian duties very seriously, especially in times of crisis.
Where Did the Ship Come From and What Did It Carry?
The ship Khalifa started its journey from Khalifa Port in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the UAE. Before leaving, it was carefully loaded with 7,166 tonnes of humanitarian assistance. That is a huge amount of help packed into one ship!
Here is a breakdown of what the ship carried:
4,372 tonnes of food items – This includes essentials like rice, flour, canned food, and even dates.
1,433 tonnes of shelter materials – Such as tents, blankets, mattresses, and tarpaulins.
860 tonnes of medical supplies – Including medicines, first aid kits, and basic hospital equipment.
501 tonnes of health and hygiene items – Like soaps, toothpaste, and other personal care products.
All these items were selected carefully to meet the urgent needs of the people living in Gaza.
Why Is This Aid Important?
The people of Gaza are currently facing a very hard time. Due to ongoing conflict, many have lost their homes, access to clean water, hospitals, and food. Schools have been destroyed, and families are struggling every day just to survive.
There are children, women, and elderly people in Gaza who don’t have enough to eat, don’t have proper shelter, and don’t even have access to basic healthcare. Many hospitals are damaged, and medicines are in short supply.
That is why this humanitarian aid from the UAE is so important. It brings hope, comfort, and survival to thousands of families who are living through unimaginable difficulties.
UAE’s Continued Commitment to Helping Palestine
The Khalifa aid ship is not the first one sent by the UAE. In fact, the UAE has already sent more than 80,000 tonnes of aid to Gaza in recent months. This includes many other shipments that carried food, shelter materials, medicine, and other relief items.
The UAE’s commitment to humanitarian values is very clear. Every time a new ship arrives, it is a sign of the UAE’s strong belief in helping people in need, without expecting anything in return. The UAE always stands up for peace, compassion, and support for those who are suffering.
A Strong Message of Unity and Peace
The arrival of the Khalifa ship also sends a powerful message of unity. It shows that when people, governments, and organizations work together, they can make a real difference in the lives of others.
This mission involved many people and groups working together – from government officials to charity workers, from ship crew to medical volunteers. Everyone played a role in making this mission successful.
What Happens Next?
Now that the ship has arrived in Egypt, the aid will be transferred from Al Arish Port into the Gaza Strip. This part of the mission requires careful planning and coordination to make sure the items reach the people who need them most.
Humanitarian teams will continue to distribute food, set up shelters, and deliver medicines in different parts of Gaza. The goal is to reach as many people as possible, especially those who are injured, sick, homeless, or living in overcrowded shelters.
A Call for Global Support
The UAE has taken a strong lead in helping Gaza, but there is still much more to be done. The situation remains difficult, and the needs are growing every day. The UAE’s mission is a reminder that other countries, international organizations, and people around the world also need to come forward and provide support.
No country can solve a crisis alone, but together, the world can ease the suffering of innocent people who are caught in war and disaster.
The journey of the eighth UAE aid ship, Khalifa, to Egypt’s Al Arish Port is not just about delivering goods. It is about delivering hope, humanity, and kindness. It is part of the UAE’s broader mission to help those who are suffering, especially the Palestinian people in Gaza.
With 7,166 tonnes of aid, this ship carries food, medicine, and other life-saving items that will directly help thousands of families. And with more than 80,000 tonnes of aid sent so far, the UAE proves that it will not stop helping until every person in need is reached.
This mission reminds us that even in the darkest times, acts of kindness and humanity can light the way forward.
