Sharjah National Oil Corporation (SNOC) has achieved another significant breakthrough in its ongoing exploration journey with the successful drilling and testing of its second well, Hadiba-02, at the onshore Hadiba gas field located north of the Sajaa field.
Early production tests from the new well have revealed additional gas-bearing zones, confirming promising reserves that further strengthen Sharjah’s growing energy base. Drilled to a depth of 13,200 feet, Hadiba-02 is expected to be connected to the production network in the coming months, paving the way for stable and expanded gas output.
The Hadiba field, discovered in 2024 with Hadiba-01, had already proven substantial gas and associated liquids within the Thamama formations. With this second successful well, Hadiba has solidified its place as Sharjah’s fifth onshore gas and condensate field — and the emirate’s second major discovery in the last five years.
SNOC plans to continue drilling activity at the Hadiba site to further assess the full potential of the field, which is quickly emerging as a key contributor to Sharjah’s domestic energy supply.
This latest success underscores the emirate’s steady progress in energy exploration and its broader aim to ensure long-term energy reliability. With Sharjah focusing on sustainable growth and efficient resource development, the Hadiba-02 milestone marks another step in reinforcing its energy independence and resilience.
